How to transfer your prescriptions to a new pharmacy

You don't have to call your old pharmacy. Here's what to send and how long it takes.

Switching pharmacies is easier than most people think. In Ontario, the new pharmacy does the work: you give them a few details and they contact your old pharmacy to move your prescriptions over.

What you'll need

  • Your name, date of birth and phone number
  • The name and location of your current pharmacy
  • Which prescriptions you want moved, or simply “all of them”

How long it takes

Most transfers are done the same day. If you need a medication right away, tell us and we'll prioritise it.

Are there medications that can't be transferred?

Some controlled medications have stricter rules and may need a new prescription from your doctor. If anything on your list falls into that group, we'll tell you and help sort it out with your prescriber.

Will my insurance still work?

Yes. Bring or text us a photo of your drug plan card. We bill the Ontario Drug Benefit program and most private plans directly.

Ready to switch? Use the transfer form, or text 647-806-3784 with your current pharmacy's name.
